Michael is a retired Service Member that spent over 22 years in the United States Army. While in the military,
he spent 16 years as a Combat Infantryman and 6 years as a Healthcare Administration Officer.
Psychology at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology.
He earned his Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Rita D Martin, DBH, LPC, NCC
Rita Martin is a Doctor of Behavioral Health, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. She retired from the VA Medical Center in 2011 after 30 years of federal service. She worked for Magellan Health Services of Louisiana; served as a Military & Family Life Counselor in Vernon Parish, completed her doctoral internship as a Behavioral Health Consultant at Primary Care Specialists, and completed mental health assessments for several Mental Health Rehabilitation organizations in LaSalle & Rapides Parishes. While at Magellan, she led a group of Peer Support Specialists in developing the Warm Line of Louisiana for use by people in a mental health crisis or who might need emotional support.
Rita is certified to teach and/or facilitate groups in:
> Mental Health First Aid to Adults, Youth, Military, and Law Enforcement;
> Whole Health Action Management (WHAM) to all people in Recovery;
> Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) to primary care clinic staff;
> Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) training; and
> Target Health to help clients set and keep health goals.
Rita has served as the Adult Residential Program Director at Red River Treatment Center in Pineville, LA, is the President of NAMI Central Louisiana, and attended a course in Medical Hypnotherapy to assist those with addictions. She started a non-profit organization (ROC with Knowledge & GRIT Inc) in October 2018 to educate the public and reduce stigma about mental illness.
